Get to know about different debt relief options for your credit card bills.

Are you overburdened with credit card bills and searching for a suitable way to get out of debt? In such a situation, you may seek professional help if you’re not able to repay dues on your own. There are several professional debt relief options out of which you can select one for getting out of debt. Go through the following lines to know about 4 professional debt relief options.

Credit counseling service – You should seek help of credit counseling when you start experiencing debt problems. When you opt for such a service, a credit counselor assesses your financial situation and offers suitable suggestions to get out of debt. The counselor offers budgeting tips and prepares a personalized debt repayment plan that you can follow in order to solve your debt problems.

Debt management plan – A credit counselor may offer you a debt management plan if you cannot pay back your dues by following the budgeting tips. When you enroll in a debt management plan, the counselor will negotiate with your creditors in order to reduce the interest rates on your credit card bills. The counselor also decides on a monthly payment and gets this approved by your creditors. You need to make this monthly payment towards clearing your loans/debts.

Debt consolidation program – You can get help from a debt consolidation company to pay back your existing dues. Enrolling in a debt consolidation program may help you in getting out of debt in a systematic way. A consolidation program is somewhat similar to a debt management plan. Here also, the consolidation company negotiates with your creditors to lower down the interest rates on your credit card bills. Thus, it becomes easier for you to pay back your outstanding bills/debts. With your creditors’ approval, the company also decides upon a monthly payment. When you make this payment to the company, it distributes the amount amongst your creditors on your behalf.

Debt settlement program – You should seek help of a debt settlement program when the outstanding debt amount is too high. In such a program, the settlement company negotiates with your creditors for reducing your outstanding amount by amount 40-60%. The settlement company also reviews your financial situation and decides upon a monthly payment that you need to deposit in a settlement account. As soon as your creditors agree to a specific amount, you need to pay them by using the funds that you’ve accumulated in your settlement account.

While seeking professional help for getting out of debt, you must know that settlement may have a negative effect on your credit record thus reducing your score to some extent. However, it helps you in getting out of debt quickly. All other professional debt relief options (such as, consolidation or debt management) usually have a positive effect on your credit record that in turn, may raise your credit score to some extent.

Tips to get out of debt:

If you are thinking about how to get out of debt, then you can make use of the following tips:

Eliminate the credit card with highest interest rate: At first, you should pay back the card with highest interest rate. You ought to continue this process till you have eliminated all the cards.

Create a monthly budget: You must make a list of your monthly bills that you have to pay and check whether you can payoff those bills with your monthly income. You must spend less than you earn so that you can have some extra cash in your hand at the end of the month.

Contact your creditors: You should contact your creditors and explain your hardship circumstances to them. You can inform them about the amount of money you can afford to pay and request them to lower the payoff amount.

Shop around for low interest cards: You should shop around for low interest cards. You can get information about the low interest cards from various websites. You can transfer your balance from the high interest cards to the low interest cards.

Seek credit counseling: You can contact a non-profit credit-counseling agency. These agencies have expert counselors. They will work out a plan which will help you pay back your outstanding bills.

Raise your income: There are many ways by which you can earn some extra money. You can do a part-time work, sell assets, etc.

Cut up your credit cards: You should not use more than one credit card. You should use that credit card only for emergencies.

Welcome to Credit Coach. Helping clients reach their credit score goals often requires more than just disputing their questionable listings in their credit reports. To assist in that effort, our most comprehensive level of service, Concord Premier affords additional benefits specifically designed to improve, monitor, and protect their credit scores.

Giving clients more tools to take on and improve their credit situation. As you know, each service level benefits focus upon a particular portion of the conversation that constantly takes place between the creditors, credit bureaus, and our clients. The first service level, Lexington Regular focuses upon the credit bureaus. The second level, the Concord Standard upgrade adds tactical methods that focus upon the creditors. Finally, Concord Premier, Lexington’s top level of service, focuses upon on how clients can directly and powerfully affect their credit scores.

Concord Premier contains the following elements:

1 – A Monthly Credit Score Improvement Analysis. Each month we evaluate our clients credits reports in accordance with the 5 main factors known to significantly impact credit scoring.

2. ReportWatch: Whenever we detect changes within a client’s credit reports, which may positively or negatively impact their credit scores, a ReportWatch alert is sent.

3. InquiryAssist: A tool to address problematic credit report inquiries. And finally,

4. Identity Theft Insurance: To help protect the credit our client’s are investing in, a $25,000 identity theft insurance policy is provided at no additional cost.

The CREDIT SCORE IMPROVEMENT ANALYSIS is a highly customized , multi-page analysis which is provided to help consumers increase their scores. These Credit Score Improvement Analyses focus upon clients’ borrowing and repayment patterns and provide clients with targeted counsel which is intended to positively impact their credit scores.

A strong emphasis is placed on clients’ utilization ratios: that is the amount a client owes on a revolving credit account compared to the account’s credit limit. For example: If a client owes $1,000 on a card which boasts a $2,000 credit limit, the debt-to-credit-limit ratio (utilization ratio) is 50%. Our analysis provides strategies on how to lower utilization ratios and better the score.

The CREDIT SCORE IMPROVEMENT ANALYSIS is delivered via the client site, email and via telephone. Lexington paralegals routinely contact Concord Premier clients to discuss their credit score game plan in depth. During these calls, Lexington attorneys and paralegals utilize proprietary “Premier View” software which allows them to easily review a credit report and provide targeted counsel for clients.

With REPORT WATCH, whenever we detect changes within their credit reports which may positively or negatively impact their credit scores, these customized alerts are quickly dispatched via email.

In these emails, the law firm provides tips on how to make the best use of the crucial changes inside a client’s credit report. There are currently 19 customized alerts that a client may receive outlining how their credit scores may have been impacted.

The Alerts provide additional ideas on how to build positive credit, deal with stubborn negative listings, lower utilization ratios and handle specific credit report tradelines which may be the most damaging.

We often hear “Do ReportWatch alerts notify you in real-time to credit report changes?” The answer is no. Our Report Watch service provides something more in-depth than basic credit monitoring: We provide a comparative analysis between various reports from each of the three bureaus as we receive them.

As you know, credit report inquiries can wreak havoc on a credit report and INQUIRYASSIST was created for that very reason. InquiryAssist provides firm-prepared letters, customized for each questionable inquiry that a client designates. These letters can then be easily printed and mailed at their discretion.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act regulates who has permissible purpose to acquire consumers’ credit reports. This Act provides you consumers with certain rights about who can place inquiries on their credit reports. If clients ascertain that one or more of their inquiries are questionable, and do not belong on their credit report, they have the right to investigate the inquiries with their creditors and the credit bureaus.

InquiryAssist also provides coaching on how to contact the credit bureaus and discuss damaging inquiries via telephone. This two-step method is often helpful in removing nagging credit report inquiries.

As you can see, our Concord Premier level of service is extremely powerful in confronting all aspects of a consumer’s credit score. Premier contains all of the credit repair tactics included in each service level and directs specific techniques to credit bureaus, to creditors, and to the clients themselves for enduring credit score improvement.

Congratulations on joining the credit conversation on behalf of your clients and being a powerful part of changing Americans’ creditworthiness. I’m Gavin, the Credit Coach.

The credit repair industry is regulated more closely than your tire shop down the street.

Came across an article on credit repair from our buddies over at bankrate.com. Once again, I’ll call this the “20-second” research article on credit repair, because that’s about how much time they took to get their information before writing the article. Let’s see if they covered the typical media “run for the hills” warnings about credit repair companies:

- What they do, you can do it yourself. (Check)

- Some are unscrupulous, and might be doing illegal things. (Check)

- If they’re not changing your identity (ullegal) then they’re flooding the bureaus with disputes, and while the bureaus are investigating the items, they request a credit report that shows the removed item. (Check)

Is this seriously all they can come up with? Have we not heard these arguments time and time again. How many times do we have to prove that a legitimate, proven credit repair law firm not only gets results for their clients, but also has to do it under the watchful eye of the FTC and their state bar. They have to follow more rules than your haircutter.

If ever a credit repair company charges up front for services not yet rendered, or asks you to change your identity, in order to get a new credit record (seriously, what good does that really do you?) they are usually reported within days to the authorities and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The credit repair industry is regulated more closely than your tire shop down the street.

And what’s with the “news” that they’re doing what you can do yourself? Yeah, we get it. You can dispute items on your credit report with the bureaus. The FCRA gives you that right. You can also cut your own hair to save a few bucks a month. You can change your own oil. You can mow your own lawn. You could probably even create your own entertainment too, but we pay for cable, don’t we? Sometimes it’s best to leave certain things to the experts, like hiring a lawyer to represent you in court, or represent you in your fight against the credit bureaus. There’s a reason we hire professionals. They have experience in dealing with issues that we’d rather not become experts in.

As for the argument about “removing items” during some investigation period, maybe you should check what the leading credit report company, Lexington Law, really does, and what their results show after 12 months… not 30 days.

So, bankrate, take your shoddy “journalism” and stick to something you know: Hocking mortgages and CDs to people online. As for credit repair, maybe you should do what millions of Americans have done: Leave it to the experts.

I♥CR

Is credit report repair legitimate? Let me tell you: It depends who you go to! You can find illegitimate credit report repair. People who will do terrible things; will tell you to get a new identity, to hide, to not pay your bills, to get a tax identity number, and so forth – use it as a social security number – you’ll go to jail, so don’t do that. There are hundreds of ways that people can be guided wrongly. That’s not the kind of advice you’ll get when you go to a law firm.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act, The Fair Credit Billing Act, The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, The Truth in Lending Act – These exist for a reason. These aren’t just words in a book somewhere. All of the federal statutes can be brought to bare, to help you, and me, and anyone else, improve their credit rating, so their lives can be better.

Here’s how the consumer credit game works. There are three consumer reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. But guess what? They’re not official. The government didn’t “bless” them. These are for-profit, privately owned… I think one of them, if not two, are publicly traded. Even they’re owned by their stockholders. These are companies that buy and sell our information for profit. And the only laws that are applicable to these agencies – so called – are laws that protect consumers. Those are our consumer protection statues. And they work to place limits on the credit bureaus.

So, for example, the next time a creditor tells you, “I’m sorry, we can’t take that off your report. It has to stay their for seven years, by law.” They’re either terribly misinformed, or they’re lying. Because the Fair Credit Reporting Act places limits on the amount of time something must be report, but it doesn’t stipulate that something must be reported. At all.

You know, any of us could start our own credit bureau tomorrow, and try to collect information on our neighbors, and try to sell it to our other neighbors. And that’s legal. But, there are consumer protections statues that place limits on that kind of activity. The thing you need to know, and speaking as a psychologist, I can tell you: The essence of depression is believing, the way things have been, always will be. People who are depressed always believe that there’s just no way out – nothing will change, they’re doomed.

That’s not true, number one, generally in life. But it’s certainly not true when it comes to your credit rating, for goodness sakes.

I remember a day, when the roof started to leak, and the IRS called, and they came to repossess my car, and we put my granddaughter in the hospital, all on the same day. And I felt like, the life I was living, the life I was in at the moment, was too hard to do. I felt like would have to disintegrate from the pressure; or be pulverized from the pressure I was under.

And, I remember thinking I don’t have anyplace to go. I don’t have the power to go where I need to be to take care of the problems, just the daily problems that come up. And, although I didn’t ever consider not living this life I’ve been given, I had a brother that took the other way out. And, I just wish I could tell him, that… try everything. Try everything.

There is hope out there on all kinds of different levels. And from unexpected places. until you’ve exhausted everything. There are answers that you have no idea are there. And just when it looks the worst, when it seems the darkest, that’s when the light comes on.

So, if you’re ready for the light. This is one good thing to explore.

The future now, looks like the skies the limit. It looks like there is a way to capture the dreams that we havd the last 10 years. It’s made things possible that were not possible before.

Every time you go to apply for a loan… “Oh, Mr. Fillmore, you’re a thief.” Uh huh. Okay, I see how you are. It was impossible to get a signature loan, or even a credit card for five hundred bucks without putting seven hundred and fifty down as a deposit. It blew my mind, you know.

And before I started, I had a good credit rating. I had something really uncomfortable and ugly happen to me. And I’ll be darned, Lexington was able to turn that around so that I don’t have to face that anymore. I can go in with the greatest of comfort and say “Hey, this is where I’m at.” You get me a loan, you take care of my needs, and my bank said, “Hey, absolutely, let’s do it.

With the service, always had a phone numbers, a contact, someone who personally knew my case – who knew what I was after, and was always there to return an email, or get the information I needed so I could keep moving forward.

Every month, I get a discreet email that shows up and says, “Hey, here’s what we’ve done , here’s what we’ve provided you, here’s exactly where you’re at, here’s the next step.
Another Reminder that CC companies are not your Friend

Credit Card companies try to delay lower Credit Card interest rates from apply to consumers.

You know that ‘groundhog’ game you play at amusement parks, where you hit the ground on the head to smash it down, and, instantly, another one pops up? This reminds me of this latest scheme by the slimy credit card companies.

In an effort to protect consumers, the federal government pass the Credit Card Act of 2009. One of the major features is a 45 day wait before companies can apply a change in someone’s credit card rate (effective Aug 20th, 2009). Cool, right? The idea is to allow time for consumers to shop around for a better credit card offer.

Well, the credit card companies are using this same rule to wait 45 days to apply any interest rate DECREASES (This is NOT what the feds intended).

So, the government just barely fixed (Jan 12th, 2010) this so that these interest rate reductions will be immediate and the interest rate increases will have to wait.

This reminds me again that credit card companies don’t have any of the consumers’ interests in mind. It’s all about taking as much money from the consumer as possible.

The worse your credit, the more they will try to take from you. These interest rate increases usually happen after your first or second late payment. This is tactic developed within the last couple years. Sometimes these interest rate hikes are astronomically high.

This is yet another reason to clean your credit and incorporate healthy credit habits.

Maybe this was how it was supposed to be all along. Only those that make the effort to ensure that their credit score is accurate, unblemished, and under their control, will be able to gain the fruits of the land.

It seems like just yesterday that you could get a subprime loan with a 640 credit score. Boy, those were the days weren’t they? Just about anybody could qualify for a house. Now, we’ve swung the other direction. Just after the demise of the mortgage industry in 2007, the minimum required credit score was raised to 680, then 700, and now… this.

Well, last week, Fannie Mae and friends announced that the new echelon for a credit score that will qualify you for a mortgage will be 740. A lot of banks and lending institutions will follow suit.

Have they gone too far? Is this going to kill the chance of an economic turn around in the housing market? Will people just give up because they think there’s just no way they can achieve that kind of a score? I’m not going to go as far as to say Fannie May knows what they’re doing (remember how much money they needed to be bailed out 2 years ago?), but let’s just consider for a second that this is *good* news. Maybe this was how it was supposed to be all along. Only those that make the effort to ensure that their credit score is accurate, unblemished, and under their control, will be able to gain the fruits of the land.

What about those with negative items? Are they destined to rent forever, taking jobs that don’t check their credit, their families suffering for the mistakes that were made (their fault or not) many years ago? How about you check out credit repair for once. Lexington Law saw 84% of the presenting negative items removed from their clients’ credit reports. Last year (2009) their clients removed over a million negative items from their credit reports! This is thanks to a tried and true process they’ve been practicing since 1991. That’s nearly 20 years of practicing their craft, refining their process just to clean up your report. They can do this for you.

Hi, I’m Gavin the Credit Coach and odds are, procrastination has played some role in your credit crisis: either you procrastinated finding solutions when things got tough or you procrastinated taking action once you knew that your credit score had already suffered damage.

It’s the most human thing in the world: wanting to take a break from your financial worries. But, when that mental break becomes a mental vacation, then a bad situation may become permanent.

Randy Padawer: You know, it’s absolutely true, that procrastination plays a role in almost every case involving bad credit. Whether it’s an issue of not having enough money. Whether it’s an issue of just letting things get away. Sometimes fear plays a role. The fear of “gee, I’m not going to be able to pull this together anyway. I am sort of unconsciously letting it go.”

Even when it’s clear that credit repair is the only solution to a damaged credit rating – other than waiting seven to ten years — many people still delay the decision to take action.

Of course, engaging a law firm is a big decision, but the Lexington Law programs are reasonably affordable by almost any standard. But, many people delay even if they can fit the credit repair investment into their budget – just because they’re reluctant to commit themselves.

But they’re doing themselves more of a disservice than they may realize. You see, there are TWO investments a person must make to repair their credit.

The first is a financial investment. You will be required to invest an amount that is less than the typical car payment, but maybe a little more than a new shirt at a local store.

Any financial investment counts these days, so even though the fees are remarkably low compared to customary attorney’s fees, it’s sensible to take even that small investment seriously.

So, the first investment is financial, but the second investment may be even more important – The second investment is time!

There’s literally no way to rush the credit repair process. Every month you keep us working on your case, the clock ticks in your favor.

Day-by-day your case is built while the law firm carries out a progressive series of communications with the credit companies on your behalf.

There are statutory limits that allow the credit companies thirty days or more to respond to each level of dispute, challenge or intervention, and those time periods must pass at every phase of the credit repair process.

If you’re a Premier client, we’ll be working on your other credit factors, too. This can take time as well.

If you’ve started as early as possible, that time investment works in your favor, with each passing month pushing your case further along and pushing the credit companies closer to resolution.

This is a legal process and it simply requires time to resolve. But, if you don’t get the clock ticking in your favor, the credit companies will have won before you even started.

Randy Padawer: Sometimes it feels like, what’s going on right now, will never change. And Gavin, what I would want Lexington clients to remember is that’s almost always true in a bad situation. Otherwise, we would never be worried. In any terrible life situation, if you knew right then, “Oh it’s going to be better, it’s fine.”, then we would never worry about anything. The worry comes from that feeling that the present circumstance is impossible and will never change.

We wouldn’t be doing our clients any favors by letting their good intentions slip away. So, we say, “Take action, today.”

The retainer agreement can be cancelled at any time and you have nothing at risk but each month’s payment and your questionable, negative credit.

We’re here to make the time count for you instead of against you.

I’m Gavin, the CreditCoach, and remember: Together, we can do this.

We are real people helping real people. There’s no facade about Lexington. You know, we’ve all been there before. And I’m a real person wanting to relate to a real person.

You know, the credit reporting agencies have such power, and they’re the ones that are determining our lives. They’re the ones that are determining our worth, our value as a person. And the transformation, once you have a clean credit report, and you’re in charge. You have the power; it’s yours. You own that.

Why spend another night, stressed? Why spend another sleepless night worrying if you’re going to meet the demands of the things that are expected of you because of the negative items on your credit report. Turn to Lexington. Let us show you what we can do for you.

I’ve seen hundreds and thousands of items removed, late payments, items included in bankruptcies, judgments, charge-offs. Items that people say are impossible to be deleted, to have removed from your credit reports. It’s amazing just to see the experience.

Your credit score is more important than ever. About 43 percent of U.S. employers are using credit checks in their hiring process, up 36 percent from 2004, and that means you can’t be stuck with a poor credit score. It hurts the person with bad credit more than ever, because they can’t pay their bills, if they don’t have a job.

Why do employees pull the credit score and/or reports of their prospective employees? Because not only is your credit score indicative of your past financial behavior, some consider it indicative or your overall responsibility. Someone who has paid his or her bills on time over the last few years is someone who will probably show up on time and take pride in their work. They understand that keeping their job means keeping their bills paid on time.

How can you repair your credit of it’s gone in the tank? As any good credit restoration service should tell you, every consumer has the right to dispute their negative items with the credit bureaus. And as anyone who understand the federal laws that give you these rights should tell you, you also have the right to hire a credit restoration service to handle the disputes on your behalf. But I♠CR only recommends hiring a service if you have the budget for it. Otherwise, you should follow the do-it-yourself guide.

Find the right credit restoration company is easy. Just go with the trusted credit repair leaders.

I couldn’t buy anything. I couldn’t purchase a car… I couldn’t buy… anything on credit cards or anything! So, it was frustrating, really to have bad credit.

I went with this company for a whole year. A whole year. And they changed my life around. Me and my husband’s. They changed it around. As a matter of fact, if you can see this ring, right year.

My husband could’nt purchase thing right, before. And the reason why us because he had bad credit. But then he went to a jewelry store, after they cleaned up (his credit), obviously. And this is my wedding band. And he got it for me. And I’m very excited.

I’m your next door neighbor. And maybe I’ll see you someday. But I was in your same shoes. And this that I’m doing right now, is for real. And if you see me on the streets tomorrow, I’m going to tell you it’s for real. I’m not getting paid or anything like that. I’m doing it because I want people to know that there is hope for us. There is hope for you tomorrow. And there is a company called Lexington Law Firm that you can trust and depend on. Call them and talk to them today: 1-800-223-7615

Mark Maxon, Sandy Utah:

My issue was time. There’s no way I could compete with Lexington. The small amount of money that they charge me, to make such significant progress in the short period of time it took, I couldn’t compete with that; my time is just too valuable, as I’m sure it is too the many people who are listening here tonight.

And in addition to that, every time I had to deal with a negative, it brought it all back, emotionally. And we can’t even talk about money in relationship to that. It was so nice to be free of that stress, those headaches, that “nightmare” so-to-speak.

So, from the heart I can tell everybody out there, this is a tremendous program, this is a great company. I recommend it to clients, who pay me exceptionally good money. And I wouldn’t recommend it to any body else, if I hadn’t had a first hand experience and believed personally in it.

Sometimes there are just things that are on with the bureaus that just aren’t legitimate. Other times, they’re there as a result of something that transpired in our lives. Sometimes they’re there because we dropped the ball. All of the above. There’s a way to be able to deal with it, and get your credit rating back. Legitimately, legally.

So I think the great thing about Lexington to me, is it can allow you to pick yourself back up again, get restructured and on the right track. And that makes all the difference. We all deserve a second chance.

I don’t understand why people continue to endure the pain, and hold off. And all I can think of, is it comes down to, the ego and the pride. You know, “I just don’t want to be embarrassed.” Oh, it’s not embarrassing. What you’re going through now… THAT’S embarrassing. That’s what’s humiliating. I know, I’ve been there – I’ve experienced it.

Break free of it. Pick up the phone and call Lexington: 1-800-223-7615
